What Is the FutuHRistIC Festival?
FutuHRistIC Festival is the UK’s leading HR and Internal Communications Festival — a four-day event held annually in London that brings together senior HR leaders, Internal Communications professionals, employee engagement specialists, and workplace culture experts to explore the ideas, challenges, and strategies shaping the future of work.
Now in its 12th year, FutuHRistIC has been connecting people, culture, and communication professionals since 2012. It is not a standard conference. It is a festival, a curated, connected four-day experience that moves through strategic HR leadership, joint HR and Internal Communications dialogue, practical workshops, and a dedicated Internal Communications conference, building a coherent arc of insight and peer connection that a single-day event cannot deliver.
FutuHRistIC takes place from 17–20 November 2026 in London, organised by BOC Global Events & Training Group.
What Makes FutuHRistIC Different from an HR and IC Conference?
Most HR conferences offer a single day of keynote speakers, a networking lunch, and a handful of breakout sessions. FutuHRistIC is built differently, and that difference matters.
It is a festival, not a conference. Four consecutive days in London, each with a distinct focus, building on the last. Delegates do not attend a collection of disconnected sessions. They experience a connected programme designed to deepen strategic thinking, challenge assumptions, and create the kind of peer relationships that outlast any individual event.
It bridges HR and Internal Communications. FutuHRistIC is one of the very few events in the UK calendar that brings HR and IC professionals together in the same space — recognising that the most significant challenges in both disciplines are best addressed when people strategy and organisational communication work in alignment. A strategy without clear communication struggles to land. Communication without people insight lacks depth. FutuHRistIC is where both disciplines meet.
It is built for senior practitioners. The delegate community is drawn from HR Directors, Chief People Officers, Heads of Internal Communications, Employee Experience leaders, Organisational Development professionals, and Corporate Communications Directors. The conversations are pitched at senior level, the case studies come from global organisations, and the networking is genuinely peer-level.
It balances strategic insight with practical application. FutuHRistIC is not a festival of abstract ideas. Every stream is designed to give delegates something they can take back to their organisations — practical frameworks, tested approaches, and the confidence that comes from hearing how others have tackled the same challenges.
The Four-Day Programme
FutuHRistIC is structured across four carefully designed days, each with its own focus:
17 November — Future of Work
The festival opens with a day dedicated to the big picture: workplace transformation, leadership, employee engagement, AI in the workplace, and the macro trends reshaping how organisations work, lead, and compete. A strategic day for senior HR and business leaders who need to understand not just where work is heading, but what it demands of their organisations right now.
18 November — Workplace Culture & Communication Workshops
A hands-on day of practical workshops exploring organisational listening, workplace culture, behaviour change, communication, trust, and employee engagement in modern organisations. Designed for practitioners who want to leave with frameworks and approaches they can implement — not just ideas to consider.
19 November — HR & IC Leadership Forum
The centrepiece of the FutuHRistIC proposition. A collaborative day exploring how HR and Internal Communications can work together to strengthen culture, engagement, leadership, and organisational alignment. This is the day that makes FutuHRistIC genuinely distinctive — bringing both disciplines into the same room to address the challenges neither can fully solve alone.
20 November — Strategic Communication & Employee Engagement
The festival closes with a day dedicated to influence, trust, communication, culture, and employee connection in modern organisations. A day for Internal Communications and HR leaders who want to sharpen their strategic thinking around how communication shapes culture — and how culture shapes performance.
Delegates may attend individual days or the full four-day festival, depending on their focus and availability.
FutuHRistIC 2026 in Numbers
Now in its 12th consecutive year, FutuHRistIC has established itself as one of the most trusted fixtures in the HR and Internal Communications calendar. The 2026 festival brings together:
- 4 days of interactive sessions, keynotes, case studies, and practical workshops in London
- 4 events covering HR Leadership, Internal Communications, Employee Experience, and Workplace Culture and Communication
- 30+ speakers from leading global organisations and workplace culture experts — practitioners with direct experience of the challenges the festival addresses
- 1 city — London, one of the world’s great hubs for HR and Internal Communications leadership
The Format of the Festival
FutuHRistIC Fesrival deliberately mixes formats across the four days, so delegates stay engaged, challenged, and leave with value they can use immediately, not just ideas they will revisit eventually.
Keynote Sessions — direct, unvarnished insight from people leaders and communications directors sharing exactly what worked and what failed in their own organisations. No theory. No vendor pitches. Real experience from practitioners doing the work.
Panel Discussions — open, honest conversations with industry experts and corporate leaders on the challenges that matter most. The festival includes a dedicated panel discussion on mental health at work: tackling burnout, building psychological safety, and designing support systems that actually hold up in practice rather than just on paper.
Interactive Workshops — hands-on sessions where delegates work through real-world scenarios and build practical toolkits they can apply with their teams the following week. The workshop day on 18 November is designed entirely around this format.
The Prediction Wall — a collaborative, interactive feature shaped by attendees and speakers throughout the festival. One of the things that makes FutuHRistIC a festival rather than a conference is a shared space where the collective thinking of the room becomes part of the event itself.
Networking — dedicated social spaces designed for genuine peer connection, not awkward small talk. The delegate community at FutuHRistIC is drawn from professionals facing the same daily workplace challenges; the conversations that happen between sessions are often as valuable as the sessions themselves.
Registrations are now open. FutuHRistIC 2026 welcomes professionals from across industries and sectors to join the conversations shaping the future of leadership, communication, culture, employee engagement, and organisational transformation.
What the FutuHRistIC Festival Covers
The festival explores the themes that define the modern HR and Internal Communications agenda:
Employee Engagement — why global engagement levels are at historically low levels, what the most effective organisations are doing differently, and how HR and IC working together create the conditions for genuine engagement.
Workplace Culture — how culture is built in practice rather than aspiration, how it is shaped through leadership behaviour, everyday decisions, and the communication that makes values real rather than decorative.
Internal Communications Strategy — the shift from broadcast function to strategic partner, measurement and impact, change communication, AI in IC, and the future of the IC profession.
HR Leadership and the Future of the CHRO — the expansion of the CHRO mandate, people analytics, AI-driven HR transformation, leadership development, and HR’s seat at the board.
Leadership Communication — how leaders communicate, why it matters, and how organisations build the leadership communication capability that drives trust, alignment, and performance.
AI in HR and the Workplace — practical applications of AI in people strategy, the workforce implications of automation, and the human capabilities that organisations need to build in response.
Employee Experience — the design of the end-to-end employee journey, from attraction and onboarding through development, engagement, and retention.
Organisational Change — how organisations navigate constant transformation without losing the employee trust and engagement that performance depends on.
